LITEStone Products

LITEStone Pottery™ is a special blend of a lightweight concrete hand crafted by our Bennett Plants employees. Often pitted and cracked by design, each one is individual and will vary slightly in size, height, color, and texture. The succulent arrangements are often produced from our own stock plants. As a result, the arrangements will differ slightly from pot to pot and from shipment to shipment. This variety ensures an ever changing pattern of plantings throughout our growing process regardless of the product.

General Care:

Succulents are a very versatile plant as a rule. High light is preferred, but low or partial sun locations are suitable as well. Watering is the key in maintaining a beautiful product while on the retail shelf. Generally, watering should not take place until the soil on the top of the pot is dry to the touch. The watering needs will be different for each location and is subject to a variety of conditions such as air movement, light intensity, and temperature. Inside, generally the products will need watering once a week. If outside in bright sunshine, products will need watering more often. Depending on outside weather and temperature, two times weekly might be needed for smaller pots (Mini). The soil should be dry on top before watering regardless of location. Our arrangements are packed with plants to make beautiful arrangements. That, in addition to the naturally porous concrete, ensures a regular and even drying out of the products and will help with the judgement of watering. Succulents are not hard to care for, but rot is possible to occur if water is applied too often. It is therefore usually better to err on drying the products out too much than to overwater if there is a question about what to do. Some succulents are cold hardy; however, the variety of our arrangements makes judging the cold hardiness of products complex. As a rule, the LITEStone Arrangements™ should be protected from temperatures below 40 degrees in the colder seasons. Remove yellow or dead leaves promptly when they appear. If leaves or stems break off accidentally, many will root with or without soil. As many gardeners will attest, succulents will survive even when broken. Rooting of stems and leaves is not only possible, it is probable if enough patience is exercised.
